Strolled on over to Union Square today to participate in the Batkid flashmob. Like most things in San Francisco, it was incredibly packed and almost impossible to ascertain what was really going on…
Great idea, though, and a great execution. It makes me want to work for the Make-a-Wish foundation. Every time I think about it, I well up inside. To me, it has to do with the unconditional love from kids to their parents and the pure innocence of someone that just doesn’t know any better. You want to do all you can for those that haven’t yet been sullied. Kids and dogs. And when things don’t work out how you hoped…it’s heartbreaking.
In any case, I’m glad I was there and I’m glad others found it as inspirational as I did. I’m a little bummed I didn’t get a good view, but I’m glad that kids had the time of his life.
And I’m glad he caught the Riddler and the Penguin and saved the day for Lou Seal.
